DEVIN RUCKER - THE GUY BEHIND THE WORK
I’m a Miami, Florida-based mixed media artist, facilitator and community builder who transforms reclaimed materials into immersive experiences that bridge history, imagination and innovation. Through oil painting, collage, textiles and sculptural elements, I reimagine overlooked objects into stories that connect the past with what comes next.
Primarily self-taught, I approach every project as an opportunity to learn, experiment and discover. My layered process uncovers new purpose in the discarded, inviting you to see familiar things through a new lens.
Since moving to South Florida, I’ve continued to grow my practice through Oolite Arts and by collaborating with local artists, organizations and entrepreneurs on a range of creative projects.

ART IN ACTION
I’ve always believed creativity is most powerful when it’s shared. Being mostly self-taught reinforces my commitment to teaching, organizing and ultimately paying the lessons and blessings forward in my life.
For more than two decades, I’ve led youth summits, mentoring programs, volunteer initiatives and creative workshops that use art as a catalyst for confidence, leadership and connection.
I create because I know firsthand that art preserves history, strengthens communities and inspires people to pursue what’s possible. My goal isn’t simply to make great art—it’s for creativity to bring people together and encourage others to discover the value in their own stories.
